Christos Konstantinos Papouras, was born in 1863 and lived in Nestorion, Kastorias, Greece. He had three sons: Pashalis, Pantelis, and Basilis. In 1928, Pashalis and Pantelis built their family home (duplex) in Nestorion, with Basilis helping in the construction and residing nearby with his own family. Sadly, much of the home was destroyed during the War.
Until recently, the property was not registered in the Κτηματολόγιο. In prior years, the village has appropriated a portion of the land which is now part of the village soccer field. In 2018, the Greek government passed Law 2664 accelerating the completion of the Κτηματολόγιο, including confiscation of unregistered lands. Thankfully, the compound property has been claimed, narrowly missing the November 30, 2024 deadline to claim such property.
The images to the right show the legal boundaries as well as where the property is located in the village. Below are drone videos and images of the house as it currently stands.
